(Chatham-Kent, ON) On the 16th of September, 2013 at 8:07 p.m. the Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a single vehicle collision on the 401 Highway, west of Kent Bridge Road.
Police investigation determined that a 2005 Ford Focus that was travelling eastbound on the 401 Highway left the roadway and ended up in a ditch. Further investigation revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested for impaired driving, no injuries were reported. Alcohol test at the Chatham-Kent OPP Detachment indicated the driver was over the legal limit.
Alan BASCHUK, a 51 year old Mississauga, Ontario man has been charged with Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol and Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle under the Criminal Code.
