(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 19, 2014 at approximately 2:03 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Wellington North Fire Services, and Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to a report of an airplane crash into a field at Wellington Road 16 and Highway 89, Wellington North Township.
Upon arrival, officers located a Piper Turbo Arrow 3 airplane with extensive damage. A male pilot and female passenger suffered minor injuries and were transported by Guelph-Wellington EMS to a local hospital for further treatment.
The pilot was Jeffrey Larsen age 50 and the passenger was Tracey Larsen age 49 both of Mooretown, Ontario.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined and the Transport Safety Bureau has been notified.
