On Sunday September 28, 2014 at approximately 3 am a verbal altercation in the area of Dunlop St and Bayfield St turned violent when one of the parties pulled a knife and stabbed a male victim in the arm and the back.
The police quickly attended the scene located the male suspect who was arrested searched incident to arrest where the knife was found in the suspects pocket.
The knife was found to be a prohibited weapon.
As a result a 24 year old Barrie resident was held pending a bail hearing where he will be facing Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon.
