Accused Pretended To Be Someone Else In Court And Gets Arrested

(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – On the 10th of July 2015, a male from Toronto was stopped for a speeding offence by an officer of the Nottawasaga O.P.P. Traffic Unit. He was provided a ticket and elected a trial date.

On the 9th day of February 2016, the accused attended his second court date. The accused sought out a resolution to his ticket from the prosecutor, and when it wasn’t to his satisfaction, the accused sought out an adjournment.

When asked by the court his name, the accused identified himself as another person. The accused then stated that he was now representing his “friend” who was sick with the flu.

The officer recognized the accused and that he was misleading the court. The accused obtained his adjournment and was promptly arrested by the officer outside the courthouse for attempting to obstruct justice.

Amir Hossein KORDESTANI, 33 years of age from Toronto now has an appearance in Criminal Court for two counts of obstructing justice, one count of personation with intent as well as an appearance for his speeding offence.
