(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – On March 18, 2017, at approximately 6:23 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver travelling eastbound on Highway 402.
Officers located the motor vehicle, a silver Mercedes Benz car, on Highway 402 eastbound and conducted a traffic stop near Hickory Drive. Officers determined that the 26-year-old male driver had been drinking alcohol. He was placed under arrest and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests.
As a result of the police investigation, Abdul YOUNUS, from Sarnia, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on May 4, 2017.
