Abduction And Robbery – Police Seeking Public Assistance

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Sunday April the 10th, 2016, at approximately 11:45am officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted in regards to an Abduction and Robbery.

Information was that the victim was forced into a van on Monogram Place in Quinte West. When inside the van a male suspect took the victims blue back pack and as well as his blue ski coat. The victim was driven southbound on Sidney Street until the van eventually stopped on North Murray Street where the victim was let out of the van.

The van is described as a Red Dodge van, sliding doors on both sides, rear windows appeared to be painted or coloured red.

The two suspects are described as:

SUSPECT #1 (driver): Male, white 20-30 years old, black jacket, dark touque, dark hair

SUSPECT #2 (passenger): Male, white 20-30 years old, muscular, glasses, red hair, dark jacket and gloves, dark pants with white stripe, light colour shoes.

Young people are also reminded that when you are out walking with friends or alone to never speak with or go anywhere with a stranger. If you are approached by a stranger you should report the event to the police and get as many details about the people and the vehicle as you can.
