94 & 69 Year Old Pedestrians Sturck

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a serious motor vehicle collision at an Oakwood Avenue, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.

On Sunday, May, 3, 2015 at approximately 3:32 p.m., Norfolk County OPP and Norfolk County Paramedics responded to Oakwood Avenue for a collision involving a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and two pedestrians.

Through investigation it has been determined that the SUV was being operated by a 22 year old male of Norfolk County, Ontario and was reversing westbound from the driveway of the residence.

While reversing, the SUV struck two female pedestrians aged 69 and 94 of Norfolk County, Ontario who were both walking southbound on Oakwood Avenue on the side of the roadway.

The 69 year old female suffered minor injuries and the 94 year old female suffered serious non-life threatening injuries. Both females were transported to a local area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the red SUV did not receive any injuries as a result of the collision.

As a result of investigation, police have charged 22 year old Dalton Robert John CEBULAK of Norfolk County, Ontario with fail to yield from private drive contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
