(HEARST, ON) – On October 30, 2015, at 3:40 p.m., the James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a 911 hang up call on Tremblay Street in the Town of Hearst. Inside, police observed a large quantity of drugs and later, with the assistance of the Community Drug Action Team (CDAT), executed a search warrant at the residence. Police seized marihuana, methamphetamine, morphine and drug paraphernalia. The total estimated street value of the drugs is $11 000. Police also seized approximately $1000 in Canadian currency.
Donald ROUSSY, 41, of Hearst, Ontario, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methylenedioxyamphetamine (Ecstasy) contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA);
Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Morphine contrary to section 4(1) CDSA;
Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Hydromorphine contrary to section 4(1) CDSA;
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Resin – over 1 gram contrary to section 4(1) CDSA;
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine (Speed) contrary to section 5(2) CDSA;
Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cannabis Marihuana – Under 3 kilograms contrary to section 5(2) CDSA;
Produce a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Resin contrary to section 7(1) CDSA.
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Hearst on December 2, 2015 to answer to the charges.
