(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 7:49 a.m., Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a 9-1-1 call from a female youth requesting a ride home from police.
Officers located the female walking on French Bay Road, Saugeen First Nation Territory in a highly intoxicated state. Investigation revealed she was on conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. She was subsequently arrested and transported to Wiarton Detachment where she became belligerent and assaulted an officer. The officer was not injured in this incident and did not require any medical assistance.
The youth, age 17, from Saugeen First Nation Territory, was charged with Failing to Comply with disposition under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and Assault Peace Officer, Criminal Code of Canada, she was held for a bail hearing on January 13, 2014 to answer to the charge.
