(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON.)- On February 27, 2016 at approximately 4:40 a.m. Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a barn fire located on a property on New Road in Norwich Township.
OPP members responded along with the Norwich, Southwest Oxford, Otterville, and Burgessville fire departments to assist at the scene.
The building at this address was a barn that housed 9 horses. The building was completely destroyed and all the horses died as a result of the fire.
The fire did not appear suspicious and the Fire Marshal did not attend the scene.
