88 Year Old Gets Distracted Driving Ticket

(OTTAWA, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Ottawa Detachment has charged an 88 year old male with distracting driving on Blair Road.

On April 13th, 2015, at approximately 6:45 pm, an officer pulled alongside a motor vehicle, which was stopped for a red light at an intersection on Blair Road. The driver in the adjacent motor vehicle began talking on his cellular telephone. As the light turned green, the motor vehicle remained at the intersection while the driver continued to speak on the phone.

The driver was subsequently issued a Provincial Offence Notice for: Hand-held communication Device contrary to the Highway Traffic Act;
