86 Year Old Lucan Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle In Critical Condition

(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – At approximately 7:05 a.m. on October 26, 2015, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

A brown Chevrolet sport utility vehicle (SUV) was stopped on Princess Street. It travelled eastbound across Main Street, towards Francis Street, where it struck a pedestrian in the intersection. The pedestrian had been walking southbound on the east side of Richmond Street, crossing Francis Street.

The pedestrian, an 86-year-old male from Lucan Biddulph, Ontario, was transported by ambulance to hospital, where he remains, currently listed in critical condition.

The 51-year-old female driver of the SUV, Guilda DUBOIS ZILER, from Lucan Biddulph, Ontario, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) with careless driving, and is scheduled to appear in a London court on December 7, 2015, to answer to the charge.
