(Douro-Dummer Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews were called to an address on Peterborough County Road 6 yesterday just before 6:00pm to assist with an elderly male who was found deceased.
The victim had gone out earlier in the day to cut wood and when the victim did not return home by dinner time, family members became concerned. Alan GARBUTT (age 86) of Douro-Dummer Township was located pinned under a tree with no vital signs. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
