(MELANCTHON, ON) –On Thursday July 2, 2015 at 1:30 pm OPP Central Region Traffic Unit was performing moving radar patrol on King’s Highway 10 north of the Town of Shelburne.
Officers observed a northbound 2015 Hyundai Genesis sedan on Highway 10 travelling at a high rate of speed. Police activated radar and clocked the vehicle at 141 km in a posted 80 km per hour zone. A traffic stop was initiated and vehicle pulled over.
As a result of police investigation an 84 year old male driver from Hamilton, Ontario was charged with Stunt driving. His driver’s license and vehicle were impounded for 7 days.
The accused will appear in Orangeville court at a later date to answer to the charge.
