82 Year Old Driver Hits Thrift Store And Parked Car

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) –Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to attend a vehicle collision at a St George business in The County of Brant at approximately 1:30 p.m. on 10 May 2016.

OPP officers attended the Deja Blue Thrift store located at 48 Main Street South in St George along with County of Brant Fire Service and County of Brant Ambulance service and found that a vehicle had struck a portion of the building and then struck a parked car.

The police investigation revealed that a 2015 Ford Escape being operated by an 82-year-old County of Brant woman struck 3 posts on the front awning of the business then came to rest against a parked 2006 Pontiac G 6 car.

The driver of the Ford escape was taken to area hospital via ambulance as a precaution only.

A value of the damage was not currently available.
