82 Speeders Charged

(SEBRINGVILLE, ON) – Between June 28 and July 1, 2019, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members were engaged in an enforcement initiative throughout the Province. The zero-tolerance, traffic enforcement event was geared to make our roads safer.

As a result of the four day initiative, Perth County OPP laid numerous driving charges including 82 for speeding, 3 for stunt driving, 2 for seatbelts, 1 for distracted driving, and 14 for other Highway Traffic Acts offences. One impaired driver was charged and 5 drivers were charged for insurance act offences. Perth County OPP also laid 18 charges related to hazardous moving violations.
