(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a collision at a Brantford Road, Windham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Thursday, August 6, 2015 at approximately 6:52 p.m., Police, Norfolk County Fire Services and Paramedics responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and pick-up truck at Brantford Road and Teeterville Road.
Investigation has determined that the motorcyclist was travelling southbound on Brantford Road with other motorcycle operators and a pick-up truck was travelling westbound on Teeterville Road when they collided at the intersection.
As a result of the collision, the motorcycle operator and passenger in the pick-up truck were pronounced deceased at the scene by the attending coroner.
The operator of the motorcycle has been identified as 54-year old Kenneth HAVILAND of Norfolk County, Ontario.
The passenger in the pick-up truck has been identified as 74-year-old Patricia MENARD-WILLIAMS of Woodstock, Ontario.
On Thursday, August 20, 2015 at approximately 10:15 a.m., police charged 80-year-old Donald WILLAIMS of Woodstock, Ontario with fail to yield to traffic on through highway contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
