(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On August 11, 2016 at approximately 10:05 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a 2012 Chrysler for speeding on Wellington Road 124 near Trafalgar Road, Town of Erin. The car was travelling well above the posted speed limit and was locked on radar first in a 40 km/h zone at 92 km/h and then entered a 60 km/h zone at was locked on radar at approximately 114 km/h in.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
79-year-old Paolo MAROTTA of Halton Hills has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on September 21, 2016.
