$770,000 Grow OP – Two Charged

(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON.) On September 11th, 2013, members of the Ontario Provincial Police Central North Drug Enforcement Unit and Central Region Emergency Response Team (E.R.T.), assisted by the OPP Aviation Services attended a property off of Flos Road 6th West north of the Village of Phelpston and discovered 2 males at a Cannabis Marihuana grow site.

As a result OPP seized 770 mature Cannabis Marihuana plants of an estimated street value of $770,000, 160 grams of processed Cannabis Marihuana, and a quantity of hash oil, hash and cash.

Charged with “Production Schedule II – Cannabis Marihuana” and “Possession for the Purpose Schedule II – Cannabis Marihuana” are Jody A. HILL 39 years old from Hamilton Township and Wayne G. WOODCOX 36 years old from Tiny Township. Police have also charged WOODCOX with “Possession Schedule II – Cannabis Resin”. First appearance for both is November 5th, 2013 in Collingwood court.
