75 Year Old Finally Rescued After 4 Days Of Being Face Down In Dirt & Exposed To Elements

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call in the south of the City of Kawartha Lakes yesterday, November 5, at approximately 5:45 pm.

A concerned mail carrier noticed that a person’s mail had not been picked up in almost two weeks and called the police to assist in locating the resident. Police attended and searched the property locating the 75 year old male resident face down in the dirt outside his residence. The male person advised that he had fallen and was unable to get himself up. He estimated he had been outside on the ground for 4 days. Ambulance attended and the male was transported to an area hospital for care.

The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP appreciates the concerned caller notifying the police.
