(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On October 2, 2016, at 1:08pm, members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Parry Sound Fire Department and Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single motor vehicle collision near the intersection of Church Street and Isabella Street in the Town of Parry Sound.
OPP investigation determined that a motor vehicle was travelling south bound near the intersection when it left the roadway. The occupant of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
Lakeland Power was called to the scene to assist with a broken hydro pole. The road was closed for several hours but has since re-opened.
As a result of the investigation, Allen LYTE, 73 years of age from McDougall Township was charged with Careless Driving, contrary section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario
