(COLLINGWOOD, ON.) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a motorist last night with a drinking and driving offence during a RIDE spot check.
On June 28 2016 at approximately 11:45pm OPP officers were conducting a RIDE spot check on Grey Road 19 when they dealt with a driver who was under the influence of alcohol. The male driver was subjected to a roadside breath test which resulted in a ‘fail’ reading and led to his arrest and transport to the Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 73 year-old Ian MCQUISTAN of Collingwood, he is facing a charge of driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on July 12 2016.
