(ESSEX, ON) – On September 20, 2016 at approximately 12:30 p.m. a cyclist was struck by a silver Dodge at the intersection of Talbot Road and Maidstone Avenue in the Town of Essex, Ontario.
A 53 year old Quebec woman was crossing the roadway on her bicycle when she was struck by the Dodge which then stuck a hydro pole at the intersection.
The cyclist was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Patricia LENARDON, age 73 of Essex, Ontario has been charged with Careless Driving contrary to Section 53 of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
