(NAPANEE, ON) – In the early morning hours of March 10th, 2017 officers with the Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a driving complaint of a black truck driving erratically on Highway 401 east bound from Marysville Road. Officers located the vehicle as it travelled through Napanee on the 401 and had difficulty getting the vehicle to stop.
The elderly female driver was travelling through the area to her residence in Kingston. Officers spoke to the driver and through their investigation she was arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle. The driver was transported to the Napanee Detachment of the OPP and breath tests were conducted. It was determined that the driver had in excess of double the legal limit of alcohol in her system.
Charged is 72 year old Faye IBBITSOU of Kingston with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle by Alcohol and having in excess of 80mg of Alcohol in 100ml of Blood.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a First Appearance date of April 4th, 2017 in Napanee Court.
