(DERBY TWP, ON) – On February 26, 2014 at 3:40 pm, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a crash involving a school bus on Sunset Strip in Derby Township. Officers arrived to find that a Green Dodge Durango struck the rear of a Grey Chevrolet Cobalt which pushed the Cobalt into a school bus. The Cobalt was stopped and the school bus was stopped with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended. The driver of the Durango, 71 year old Timothy MATHESON of Owen Sound, was charged with Careless driving. A student on the bus was taken to hospital to have minor injuries assessed.
