71 Year Old Charged For No Slowing Down For Emergency Vehicles

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in a local male facing a Highway Traffic Act related offence.

On March 17, 2015 an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP stopped a vehicle and charged the driver, Michael BOSLEY, 71 years of age, with failing to slow and proceed with caution for an emergency vehicle.

The OPP would like to remind motorists that when they observe an emergency vehicle on the shoulder of the highway they should slow down to a speed below the posted speed limit and proceed with caution.
