(SOUTH FRONTENAC TOWNSHIP) – On Friday April 22nd, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) – Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau-Drug Enforcement Unit, assisted by members of the East Region OPP Emergency Response Team and Frontenac Detachment Patrol Officers, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in Sydenham, South Frontenac Township.
Police seized marihuana plants from an indoor Marihuana growing operation. Processed marihuana as well as marihuana resin known as “ Shatter “, marihuana resin known as “ Wax “ along with marihuana hash and magic mushroom were also seized from the residence. The potential street value is estimated to be $70,000.
Fifty-two (52) year-old Todd VELEY faces charges of:
-Unauthorized production of Marihuana.
-Possession of Marihuana over 30 grams.
-Possession Cannabis Resin “Shatter.”
-Possession Cannabis Resin “Wax”.
-Possession Psilocybin.
The investigation is ongoing.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Kingston on June 23, 2016.
