(HURON EAST, ON) – A 70-year-old driver from Central Huron was issued a 3-day driver’s licence suspension following a traffic stop that took place on Friday, June 30th.
Shortly before 2:00 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Ford F-150 pickup truck travelling westbound on Front Road at a speed well below the speed limit. The officer also noticed the pickup truck veer off onto the gravel shoulder multiple times.
The officer initiated a traffic stop and while speaking with the male driver the officer detected the odour of alcohol coming from the driver. The officer also observed an open container of beer inside the vehicle.
A roadside screening test was administered which resulted in the driver registering a Warn”. The driver
