(PERTH COUNTY, ON) – Between June 30 and July 3, 2017 the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) participated in the Canada Day Long Weekend Provincial Traffic Campaign.
Perth County OPP responded to a total of 137 calls for service over the long weekend. Along with responding to calls, police issued several tickets to drivers which included:
66 for speeding
1 Distracted Driving
3 Hazardous Moving violations
7 other Highway Traffic Act offences
1 Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
1 Off-Road Vehicle Act
There were also 4 charges issued under the Liquor Licence Act.
The Perth County OPP will continue to conduct traffic enforcement on our local highways and roadways to ensure the safety of all citizens.
