(TOWN OF ERIN ON) – On October 10, 2017 at approximately 2:40 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an assault in progress at an address on Tenth Line, Town of Erin.
Police attended and investigation revealed that there were contractors on site cleaning up the property. A male party attempted to stop them from working and while doing so assaulted a worker.
65-year-old Lawrence WHITNEY of Erin has been charged with assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on November 24, 2017.
