(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances (CDSA) warrant in the former Laxton-Digby-Longford Township area that resulted in three arrests and a large number of marihuana plants being seized.
On December 7, 2014 members of the OPP’s Central Region Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) along with members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and City of Kawartha Lakes detachment attended a residence on Highway 35 where they executed a CDSA warrant.
As a result of the warrant 622 marihuana plants were seized with a street value of approximately $225 740.00.
A Guy DANG, 45 years of age, of City of Kawartha Lakes, was arrested and charged with production of marihuana and theft of hydro. DANG was held for a bail hearing.
Ding HUANG, 21 years of age of Markham and Fang LU, 46 years of age, of Toronto are each charged with production of marihuana and theft of hydro. The accused parties will appear in court, in Lindsay on January 15, 2015.
