(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On April 3, 2017 at approximately 9:00 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Laird Road in the City of Guelph. The officer observed a male driving a 2013 Ford F150 travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 137 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
62-year-old Dennis BEAUCLAIRE of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on May 3, 2017.His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
