(CALEDON, ON) – On Wednesday, August 17, 2016, officers from the Caledon and Dufferin OPP Street Crime Units (SCU) executed a warrant at a residence in Caledon and Orangeville with assistance from the OPP Regional Support Team (RST) members. The warrant was issued following an investigation involving the Caledon Detachment.
While executing the warrant, officers located a large quantity of stolen tools, machinery and yard maintenance equipment. The estimated value of the stolen property is, $40,000 to $60,000.
A suspect has been identified and charges are pending.
Police are reminding residents to be vigilant and to report suspicious activity to the Caledon OPP directly or if you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You may also submit information online at www.peelcrimestoppers.ca. Being anonymous, you will not be required to testify in court and information you provide may lead to a cash reward of up to $2000.
