(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – During the morning of Saturday, April 11th, 2015, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), received 7 reports of vehicle entries that had occurred overnight. Six of the seven vehicles were confirmed unlocked during the evening of Friday, April 10th. The valuables stolen included loose change, wallet, i-pod, laptop, camera with equipment, gift cards and cigarettes.
These vehicle entries were reported from vehicles that were parked on Evans Road, Burt Avenue, James A. McCague, Gray Avenue, Hutchinson Drive, and Victoria Street, west,( parking space for Unit 4.
Nottawasaga OPP would like to remind residents to ensure their vehicle is locked and valuables removed. Also, if residents see suspicious people in their neighbourhood, during late evening or early morning hours , to contact police.
