$542,000 Grow Op Drug Bust

(Prescott, ON) On August 11th 2016, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Drug Enforcement Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) Search Warrant at a residence on County Road 26, in Augusta Township.

As a result of the warrant, investigators located and seized 540 cannabis marihuana plants, 184.5 grams of marihuana bud and 8.6 grams of cannabis marihuana resin with an estimated total street value of $ 542,017.

Mary STEENWYK, age 54, and William STEENWYK, age 57 of Augusta Township (ON), were arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following:

Possession of a substance in Schedule 2 (cannabis marihuana) for the purpose of trafficking- under 3kg

Produce a schedule 2 substance (cannabis marihuana)

Produce a schedule 2 substance (other than marihuana)

Christopher MOORE, age 35, of Brockville (ON) was arrested and charged with :

* Produce a schedule 2 substance (cannabis marihuana)

The accused have been released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on August 25th 2016.
