(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH)- On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of members of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), executed a search warrant at a residence, as well as outbuildings on the 8th Line, Town of New Tecumseth. This is a rural property near Beeton.
During the search, approximately 500 marihuana plants were seized with an estimated street value of $500,000.00. Four males arrested at the scene were identified as :
TANG, Kin Pang, age 59, of Markham, Ontario, Charged with Production of Drug
HE, Shan Yong, age 49, of Markham, Charged with Production of Drug
WANG, Pin Hui, age 39, of Scarborough, Charged with Production of Drug
WANG, Zeng Qiang, age 41, of Toronto, Charged with Production of Drug.
This property was a licensed marihuana grow operation which had exceeded its limit significantly.
All four persons arrested were released on a Promise to Appear before an Ontario Court of Justice.
