(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment investigated a motor vehicle collision at a Queen Street, Delhi, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Sunday, April 9, 2017 at approximately 7:11 p.m., OPP and Norfolk County Paramedics responded to motor vehicle collision after a vehicle collided with a residence.
Through the course of investigation, it has determined that a motor vehicle being operated by a 42-year-old male of Norfolk County, Ontario was westbound on Pine Street when the driver lost control and collided with the front porch of a residence.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local area hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
A 60-year-old female and 69-year-old male; both of Norfolk County, Ontario were on the porch of the residence when the collision occurred. Both suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to a local area hospital by Paramedics.
A 65-year old female and 68-year-old male; both of Norfolk County, Ontario were also transported by Paramedics to a local area hospital for observation.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 42-year-old John ANDRES of Norfolk County, Ontario with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
