Barrie Police received several 911 calls regarding a disturbance in the area of Johnson Street and Napier Street. Callers reported a male with a baseball bat was smashing a pick-up truck located in a driveway. Officers arrived and located the smashed truck.
Further investigation revealed that a party had taken place in the back yard of the residence with several friends, an argument ensued over a female and the suspect obtained a baseball bat and smashed the victim’s truck and began to chase people with the bat.
With the assistance of the public, officers located the suspect a short distance away hiding in a tree. The male was removed from the tree and arrested for Mischief and weapons dangerous.
The 43 year Barrie resident now faces an October court date.
