40 Year Old From South Bruce Peninsula Gets Drunk Driving Charge For Christmas – Name Released

(SAUBLE, ON) – On December 22, 2016 at 6:57 p.m., Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a ride check on Sauble Falls Parkway near South Oliphant Road, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.

Police observed the driver of a Mazda 3, driving towards the ride check appearing as though they were not going to stop. Officers waved their arms and motioned to the driver to stop the vehicle. The vehicle came to an abrupt stop. Police spoke to the driver and found the driver to have been drinking alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to the Bruce Peninsula OPP Detachment for further testing.

Tara LANG, age 40, from South Bruce Peninsula, has been charged with impaired operation of motor vehicle and over 80 milligrams.

She is schedule to appear before the Owen Sound Court of Justice on January 5, 2017 to answer to the charges.
