4 TEENS CHARGED WITH DRUG POSSESSION 2013-07-29
(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Saturday July 27, 2013, around 1:40 p.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol pulled over a vehicle for speeding along Perth Line 44 south of Gads Hill. The officer detected the odour of freshly burned marihuana in the vehicle. Marihuana was located in the vehicle and all four teenage occupants from Waterloo Region (two males and two females) were charged with being in “possession of Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 gramsâ€Â. They will be appearing in Stratford Youth Court on September 05, 2013 to answer to these charges.
In addition to a Marihuana possession charge, the seventeen year old male driver from Cambridge is also facing a charge of “speedingâ€Â, “Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driverâ€Â, and “breach of probationâ€Â.
The driver’s parents attended the scene and picked up the Dodge Stratus and the four young people.
