38 Year Old Caught Going 115 In A 50 – Name Released

(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On Monday June 5, 2017 at approximately 9:45 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 7 near South Street in Elora. The officer observed a male driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at 115 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

38-year-old Valentin-Octavian FODOR of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on July 19, 2017.His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
