(Leeds) On 07Aug13, at approximately 11:00am, members of the O.P.P. East Region Highway Enforcement Unit had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on Highway 401, Front Escott Township.
The stop resulted in the seizure of approximately 65kilograms of suspected marihuana.
The 25yr old male driver as well as a 31yr old male passenger (both of Quinte West, On) were arrested and face charges of:
Possession for the Purpose Schedule II
Breach of Probation Order
Both males were held in custody pending an appearance in Brockville court.
The approximately street value of the seized drugs is $325,000.00.
