32 Year Old Caught Going 114 in an 80

(BLUEWATER, ON) – A 32-year-old from Bluewater has been charged with speeding and served with a driver’s licence suspension following a traffic stop that took place early this morning.

At approximately 12:34 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a small compact vehicle speeding southbound on Bluewater Veteran’s Highway. A speed measurement was taken and the vehicle’s speed was locked at 114 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

The vehicle was pulled over and upon speaking with the male driver the officer detected the odour of alcohol coming from the driver’s breath. The driver provided a sample of his breath into the roadside screening device and he registered a Warn.

As a result, the 32-year-old driver was served with a 3-Day Licence Suspension and was ticketed for speeding.
