(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST GREY, ON) – On Sunday, September 11, 2016 at approximately 2:45 a.m., members of the Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), and the OPP Critical Incident Unit responded to a weapons incident on Allan Park Road in the Municipality of West Grey.
The West Grey Police Service requested OPP assistance after receiving a report of a male firing a weapon inside a residence on Allen Park Road.
Allan Park Road was closed from Grey Rd. 4 south to Concession 2 as containment was set up around the residence. Hanover Police Service assisted at the scene.
At approximately 8:03 a.m. the incident was resolved peacefully.
A 32-year old West Grey man was arrested and taken into custody without incident.
The West Grey Police Service continue to investigate.
