(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a male driver after investigating a three vehicle collision that occurred on Haldimand Highway 54 in Cayuga, Haldimand County, Ontario.
On Tuesday December 13, 2016, at approximately 4:57 p.m., OPP and Haldimand County Paramedics responded to Haldimand Highway 54 for a three vehicle collision.
OPP investigation has determined that a grey Chevrolet sedan was travelling southbound on Haldimand Highway 54 when it struck a vehicle that was travelling northbound. The grey sedan then struck a pickup truck that was also travelling northbound.
The driver of the grey sedan was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
OPP has charged the 22-year-old male driver of the grey sedan, William EADY of Cayuga, Ontario with a distracted driving offence under The Highway Traffic Act.
