(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated an incident after being called to a 6th Concession Road, South Walsingham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Monday, April 17, 2017 at approximately 3:34 p.m., police were contacted by a resident reporting that they located three (3) deceased animals in a wooded area near the St. Williams Conservation Area.
Officers arrived on scene and located the skeletal remains of what appeared to be two (2) dogs. A third deceased dog was located and it appeared that a projectile from a firearm was used to dispatch the animal.
The third dog is being described as black, brown and white in colour.
The OPP is continuing to investigate this incident and is seeking the assistance of the public. If anyone has any information or can identify the owner of the animals, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
