(Rockland, ON) On July 19th 2016, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) Search Warrant at a residence in the Township of Clarence-Rockland, the result of an investigation by the Russell OPP Community Drug Action Team.
As a result of the warrant, investigators located and seized 292 cannabis marihuana plants, 2 pounds of cannabis marihuana and 25 grams of cannabis marihuana resin with an estimated total street value of 295 000$.
Mark LABRECQUE (55) from Clarence-Rockland (ON), was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following:
Possession of a substance in Schedule 2 (cannabis marihuana) for the purpose of trafficking- under 3kg
Produce a schedule 2 substance (cannabis marihuana)
Possession of a substance in Schedule 2 (cannabis resin)
The accused was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice of Ontario in L’Orignal, (ON) on August 13th 2016.
