29 Year Old Drinking Driver Hits Tree On Morrison Line

(HURON EAST, ON) – A 29-year-old from Huron East has been charged with Careless Driving and served with a driver’s licence suspension following a crash that took place last night (06April).

At approximately 7:20 p.m. on April 6th, 2017 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers and Huron County Paramedics responded to a single motor vehicle collision that took place on Morrison Line near Staffa Road. Upon arrival the investigating officer observed a heavily damaged pump truck that had left the roadway and collided with a tree near the east ditch.

The driver was fortunate to escape the crash uninjured however his good fortune ran out when the investigating officer detected alcohol on the driver’s breath. A roadside screening test was administered and the driver registered a sample within the warn range. As a result, the 29-year-old driver from Huron East was charged with Careless Driving and was served with a 3-Day Driver’s Licence suspension.
