(Municipality of West Perth, ON) – On Wednesday May 4th, 2011 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of Perth County OPP, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Kent Street, in the Municipality of West Perth, Perth County, Ontario.
The residence was searched. As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized cannabis marihuana bud, and cannabis marihuana plants. The estimated combined street value of the controlled substances is $26,040.00. Also seized was offence related property that consisted of growing equipment.
Kevin Coleman, age 44 years, of the Municipality of West Perth is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with possession of a controlled substance (marihuana) and production of a controlled substance (marihuana).
