26 Year Old Charged In Wasaga Beach Hit And Run

(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – Sometime during the early morning hours of December 22nd 2015, a motor vehicle struck a hydro utility box causing $25 000 in damage. The vehicle and driver failed to remain at the scene on Fernbrook Drive in Wasaga Beach.

After an extensive investigation by members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) the driver in the above fail to remain collision was determined, located and charged.

Charged with “Fail to Remain” and “Fail to report damage to property on highway” both under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario, is Shawn SZYMANSKI 26 years old from Wasaga Beach. First appearance is February 2nd, 2016 in Wasaga Beach Provincial Court.
